Wool-shed!

G'day mate.

Just arrived in Cairns this afternoon after spending 2 days in Sydney.
Sydney was amazing- had a great time. Stayed in North Sydney and was able to walk across the Harbour Bridge in order to go into the city. It is absolutely beautiful near the harbour- and the Opera House. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Sydney.

Things are so expensive here, though. It's redic. New York City prices for sure.

People here are so sweet. I'm a bit self-conscious about my accent and try to just keep quiet, mostly. But I am starting to pick up some Aussie lingo. Actually, not too much yet, but it will come soon. I did learn the term "Bogan" which is kind of like a homeless person, but more like a hippie. Last night we went to a comedy show and a few of the stand up comedians were telling jokes and I sat there... and looked blankly at them. It was all aussie slang and 'inside' jokes I did not understand! Anyway...Sydney overall was amazing.

Now we are up in Cairns. It is hot and humid- worse than a NY summers day. It was about 35C today and I bet about 90% humidity. We are staying at a YHA.

The happy travelers!

Going to the botanical gardens tomorrow and will explore Cairns more. On Thursday, we are going Scuba Diving and snorkling on the great barrier reef! Cannot wait!!

Ate Kangaroo and Crocidile tonight. SO delicious. Poor little dead animals. But they were delicious.

Cairns

That's all for now- internet is expensive at this hostel so I had to keep it short.

Cheers.
